Flow sensors generally have three wires: red for positive, black for negative, and yellow for signal output.

The flow sensor itself outputs NPN type pulse signals. The 24V version outputs a high level of 23.5V, which can be directly connected to the high-speed pulse input of the PLC. The PLC reads the number of pulses and converts it into flow-related data.

About how the Hall water flow sensor works, what is the principle, how to use it specifically, how to determine its quality, how to choose the Hall water flow sensor, and so on, the entrance is here:

If PLC is not convenient, then you can use our flow module ModX0-ModX14, etc.

Our water flow module is based on the standard ModbusRUT communication protocol, typically set to 9600 N 8 1.

Any host that supports the 485 communication protocol can read the flow data on the module, such as PLC, large-screen displays, paperless recorders, and so on.

Of course, it can also be displayed on a computer, allowing for curve viewing, data exporting, and more through software.

The flow data on the module includes: instantaneous flow, total flow, etc. Some modules also have temperature, and some modules also have 4-20mA output.
